About the Speaker John L. Barlow
John Barlow is a graduate of Stanford Law School. He has practiced employment law in the state of Oregon for 35 years. He is a past member of the Executive Board of the Labor and Employment Section of the Oregon State Bar and was an appointed member of the Management Advisory Council to the National Labor Relations Board from 1994-2000. He currently practices with the Corvallis law firm of Barnhisel, Willis, Barlow, Stephens & Costa, PC.
General civil practice, with emphasis on employer-employee relations including: preparation of employee manuals, handbooks, contracts, noncompetition and nondisclosure agreements; proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board; state court litigation of employee claims; contested unemployment, wage and employment discrimination complaints before Employment, Wage and Hour, and Civil Rights Divisions of Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries.
