Event Description
Go All In: Navigate your career and drive change
Fifty-five years after the Equal Pay Act was signed, recent research shows that women today still struggle for gender equality in the workplace. Government data breaking down the average pay of men and women working full time show that in almost every occupation, men are paid more than women. And, for every one hundred men promoted to manager, seventy-nine women are promoted. Looking further up the corporate ladder, the gap is much more pronounced: only about 1 in 5 C-suite leaders is a woman. But, we don’t have to accept this reality; there is much we can do to create change for ourselves and for our communities. In this Women in Business lunch, we’re asking you not to just lean in – but go all in. Learn strategies for building a community that will enhance your career and your ability to navigate today’s work environment, positioning you to drive change that will advance women in leadership roles. You’ll hear from:
  • Dr. Audrey Iffert-Saleem, the director of the Oregon State University Center for the Advancement of Women in Leadership. Audrey is responsible for change management initiatives and studies the experiences of women entrepreneurs and aspiring women entrepreneurs.
  • Olivia Heath, manager of recruitment and outreach for the Graduate Business Programs at Oregon State University. Olivia connects with prospective students and applicants, and will work with you to help you determine how our graduate business education options may fit with your personal aspirations and professional goals.
  • Holli Ogle, OSU MBA Program Graduate. Holli used the OSU MBA program to help her pivot from a 10-year mechanical design career into a serial entrepreneur and real estate investor.
